A seasoned professional for nearly 20 years, Jason enjoys working with financially successful individuals, families and institutions, providing highly personalized advice through a disciplined consulting approach. His extensive experience enables him to help clients understand the intricate details of their wealth. He focuses on listening carefully to what is most important, so he can develop a customized plan to address their goals and unique circumstances. He prides himself on delivering a strategic approach to help families and business leaders nurture and pursue considerable wealth.

Born in Houston and growing up in Minneapolis, Jason has always been intrigued by the financial markets. He attended Drake University, studying Finance and Economics. His diverse experience includes more than a decade focused on quantitative and qualitative research across various market segments. In 2001, he joined The Quantitative Group at Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley), a highly recognized institutional consulting team that formed a successful RIA in 2003. Jason served as Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee from 2004 to 2011, overseeing more than $4 billion in assets. He continues to manage the Group’s research efforts, utilizing his knowledge to provide tailored solutions for clients seeking sophisticated solutions for their wealth management needs. In 2010 they joined the firm’s Graystone Consulting division and re-branded to Graystone Consulting-San Antonio.

Over the years, Jason has built a successful practice educating and advising clients on how to better understand and manage their total financial picture. He believes investing should be based on a strategy that is easy to understand and implement. Through a goals-based process and world-class resources, Jason works diligently to provide clients with clarity and confidence about their finances, so they can invest their time on the people and activities that bring joy to their lives. Jason is a member of the Association of Professionals Investment Consultants and the Investment Management Consultant’s Association. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses, as well as state Insurance licenses.

Jason lives in San Antonio and enjoys spending time with his three daughters and coaching their athletic teams. An avid sports enthusiast, Jason continues his lifelong interest in athletics through golf, basketball and hockey when he’s
not with his family or helping clients.
